Thirumanjana Seva / Abhisheka Seva
for Lord in 18 divine forms
sacred bath to the Lord gracing us in 18 divine forms

Agama scriptures state that the Lord’s deity must be given a sacred bath using ingredients like milk, curd, ghee from butter, honey and fresh fruits every time He steps out for a divine tour outside the temple…

The divine remains from Lord’s sacred bath is given as Prasadam to everyone…

Devotees experienced blissful energy witnessing the exquisite divine beauty of the Lord in 18 forms and the presiding form of Sri Sitha Ramachandra Swami of Divya Saketham… ‎‎

Guru Pushyami
a great day

Yamunacharya Swami was once in SriRangam chanting Divya Prabandham and a song read as…

nadamino: namargha ulleer
if you are a devotee, then get up and move…
towards Thiruvananthapuram

He immediately traveled from SriRangam to Thiruvananthapuram to see Lord Ananthapadmanabha Swami. Only after reaching there did He realize that He missed the blocked date of Guru Pushyami to learn Yoga Vidya from a guru. Such is the effect of alwars’ divya prabandham, divine bond

Why are some temples
called Divya Desams?
divya means divine

A temple can be called a Divya Desam when the deity Lord of the specific temple protects and graces those who have no wealth, family, possessions, beauty, wisdom etc that ‘can safeguard’ them… Lord’s grace with them is worshiped as divyam, divine

Learning about Lord’s compassion and grace shown at those temple towns, alwars sang the divine greatness of Lord and thus they are called Divya Desams. Sri Ramanujacharya was inspired by these 108 Divine centres, the Divya Desams.

Anbil is a Divya Desam where a frog which wept for Lord’s grace to come out of its horrific situation, was graced the body of a Maharshi. The Maharshi is named Manduka. The darshan of sage Manduka is called Mandukya Upanishad!
