At 17:10 on the 29th of Dec 2022, the honorable President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu visited the world’s greatest inspiration center, the Statue of Equality. Madam paid respects to the founder and inspirer of the center, HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji. Madam visited the center along with the honorable Governor of Telangana, Tamilisai Soundararajan and the Minister of Women and Child Welfare, Telangana. Madam’s daughter, Ithisri Murmu also accompanied the guests of honor and received blessings.
The Statue of Equality teams welcomed the President with an offering of thilak on the forehead. Students from various schools run under the aegis of HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji, such as Allampally Jeeyar Gurukulam, Nethra Vidyalaya, Veda Patasala have all greeted the President with reverence.
Madam proceeded towards the darshan of the first divyade:sa, the divine inspirational center named SriRangam. Madam heard the audio guided tour of the SriRangam temple. She was thrilled and amazed by the experience. She continued to visit a few more divyade:sas among the 108 divine centers of inspiration.
Madam reached the 216 feet Statue of Equality, and offered auspicious wishing prayers to Bhagavad Ramanujacharya by the means of a lighted diya and flowers.
Madam ji then proceeded to visit the Swarna Murthi, Gold Ramanuja. She along with the guests were seated while the priests offered prayers to the Gold Ramanuja on her behalf for the well-being of the entire world and for universal peace. The priests tied a mark of sankalpa to her wrist while she held it meditating on the divine murthi. She had later submitted her offerings to the temple.
Madam also got a chance to take a peak at the upcoming attraction, AR (augmented reality) show here.
Madam then proceeded towards a stage from where she watched ‘Leela Jala Neerajanam’, a tribute of gratitude and devotion to Sri Ramanuja with the showers to the rhythm of music. The showers in the show signify a token of gratitude to Ramanujacharya for bestowing the world with the message of Equality thousand years ago, at a time when one couldn’t imagine anything of that sort.
HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji gave Madam a brief on various revolutionary ideas that Ramanujacharya implemented to bring the society in harmony under the service of the common supreme power. Madam expressed her amazement and happiness in knowing the personality behind those revolutions she had heard about which removed the social taboos.
Madam then marched forward to the final attraction (not yet available for public), the mapping show. In the show, as Swamiji explains key contributions of Bhagavad Ramanujacharya to the human kind, the story line is beautifully depicted through traditional art of dance. The lights and music made the experience a bliss to the guests and all the audience.
Madam also witnessed the launch of an online platform by HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji that will soon host the content for the upcoming Bhagavad Githa mass chanting at the Statue of Equality’s first annual ceremony from Feb 2nd to Feb 11th.
The platform will provide free training and award certifications with an aim to take part in serving community with constructive guidance for leading a peaceful life through Bhagavad Githa.
President ji along with the guests of honor have taken leave from Swamiji at around 18:40.
