A Sanctuary of Peace and Spiritual Awakening
Amid the fast-paced rhythm of modern life, the Statue of Equality offers visitors a rare opportunity to experience peace, devotion, and inner calm. Located at Muchinthal, Hyderabad, this iconic spiritual destination welcomes people from all walks of life to spend meaningful moments in a serene and uplifting environment surrounded by divine architecture, sacred traditions, and spiritual wisdom.
Conceived and brought to life by the revered spiritual guru HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji, the Statue of Equality stands as a timeless gift to humanity, inspiring values of equality, devotion, and universal harmony.
The Legacy of Sri Ramanujacharya
Standing majestically at 216 feet, the Statue of Equality commemorates the 1000th birth anniversary of the 11th-century philosopher, saint, and social reformer Sri Bhagavad Ramanujacharya.
Born in Sriperumbudur near Kanchipuram in 1017 AD, Sri Ramanujacharya dedicated his life to spreading spiritual wisdom and social equality. Through his teachings, he emphasized devotion accessible to all, transcending barriers of caste, creed, and social status. His revolutionary vision transformed spiritual culture in India and continues to inspire millions across generations.
The monument symbolizes his timeless message — that every soul is equal before the Divine.
A Monument of Architectural and Spiritual Excellence
The Statue of Equality is the tallest sitting statue in India and a marvel of spiritual architecture. Surrounded by expansive green landscapes, aromatic gardens, and beautifully planned spaces, the entire complex offers visitors a visually stunning and spiritually enriching experience.
The journey begins with magnificent welcome arches inspired by Kakatiya architecture, followed by exquisitely sculpted statues of Garuda and Anjaneya Swamy. The entrance and exit structures reflect the grandeur of Ellora cave architecture, while majestic Chola and Pallava-style Gopurams add to the sacred atmosphere.
Every detail within the campus has been thoughtfully designed to create symmetry, serenity, and spiritual inspiration.
Immersive Visitor Experience
Upon arrival, visitors are welcomed into a fully air-conditioned theatre to witness “Samatha Avirbhav,” a specially curated presentation showcasing the vision, construction, and inauguration journey of the Statue of Equality.
The experience is designed not merely as a visit, but as a spiritual exploration. Audio-guided facilities and dedicated facilitators help visitors understand the significance of every sacred space within the campus. Wheelchair assistance with attendants is also available to ensure a comfortable and inclusive experience for physically challenged visitors.
The Divine Journey Through 108 Divya Desams
Encircling the majestic statue are beautifully crafted replicas of all 108 Divya Desams — the sacred Vaishnava temples glorified in the divine hymns of the 12 Alwars.
Each Divya Desam replica has been thoughtfully established to recreate the spiritual essence of the original temple. Visitors can offer prayers before every deity while learning about the history, traditions, architectural uniqueness, and spiritual prominence of the original shrine through audio guidance systems or with the assistance of trained facilitators.
This unique arrangement enables devotees to experience the blessings and spiritual significance of all 108 Divya Desams at one sacred destination.
Bhadravedi
The magnificent structure, known as Bhadravedi, rises 16 metres high with three beautifully designed levels. Above it rests a 27-foot lotus-shaped platform supported by 36 sculpted elephants, symbolizing strength and stability.
The lotus diameter represents the 24 tattvas, while the 108-foot seated form of Sri Ramanujacharya above symbolizes divine wisdom and spiritual enlightenment.
Within Bhadravedi there is a meditation hall and a sacred temple housing a 54-inch golden deity of Sri Ramanujacharya made with 120 kilograms of gold, representing the 120 years of his divine life on Earth. Daily rituals and abhishekam on Ardra, the birth star of Sri Bhagavad Ramanujacharya are performed here with great devotion.
A Mesmerising Evening Experience
As dusk descends, the campus transforms into a breathtaking spiritual spectacle. Visitors are captivated by “Samatha Neerajanam,” a beautifully choreographed Harathi offered to Bhagavad Ramanujacharya, symbolizing spiritual equality and devotion.
This is followed by the dynamic “Leela Jala Neerajanam” — a musical fountain presentation that combines light, sound, water, and devotion into a memorable visual experience.
On full moon nights, the shimmering moonlight illuminating the Statue of Equality creates an atmosphere of extraordinary tranquillity and divine beauty, leaving visitors deeply moved and spiritually refreshed.
Annual Celebrations – Samatha Kumbh
Every year, the grand Brahmotsavam of Sri Ramanujacharya and the 108 Divya Desams, popularly known as “Samatha Kumbh,” is celebrated for 11 days during January–February.
The festival attracts devotees from across the world who gather to participate in spiritual rituals, cultural celebrations, and divine festivities in an atmosphere filled with devotion and unity.
A Journey That Stays in the Heart
Following the divine experiences across the campus, visitors are lovingly served Annaprasadam, completing their spiritual journey with gratitude and fulfilment.
More than a monument, the Statue of Equality is a transformative spiritual destination where visitors leave with renewed peace, inspiration, and the blessings of Sri Bhagavad Ramanujacharya — carrying home memories that inspire them to return again with family and friends.
