It is that time of year when all of us come together to celebrate the day when Swami Ramanuja blessed all of us by appearing in the form of Grand Statue of Equality in Hyderabad. This is third such anniversary. Elders have given the event a name – “Samatha Kumbh” and prescribed that it starts on the day of Ardraa star during the month of Magha as per lunar calendar. Typically it goes on for 11 days and concludes on the day of Chitta star.
During this year, we are celebrating from 9th February 2025 to 19th February 2025.
As a prelude to the Samatha Kumbh celebrations, ritual bathing (Abhisekham) was performed for Perumal of all the 108 Divya Desams, Divya Saketa Rama, and Sri Swamiji’s personal Perumal. Since Ardra Nakshatram coincided on the same day, Abhisekham to Golden Ramanuja was also conducted under the direct supervision of Sri Swamiji. Samatha Kumbh begins with the Ardra Nakshatram of Sri Ramanuja and concludes with the Chitta Nakshatram of Divya Saketa Rama.
In the evening, Sri Viswaksena went around the venue in a palanquin to inspect the preparations. The Ankuraropana programme concluded at 5:00 PM with the collective chanting of Sri Vishnu Sahasranamam.

Due to the lunar eclipse on March 3rd, darshan at the Statue of Equality will not be available.
Darshan will resume on March 4th from 3:00 PM onwards.
